The Hallock Family Tree

Many of our Hallock ancestors, including families of their spouses, came from New York and Vermont states and moved to Michigan in the mid 1800's.

At this point, this Hallock Family Tree concentrates on Hallocks that moved to southern Barry County Michigan.

Each person in this tree has his or her indivudual web page where detailed information is available. Many of these pages will have photos of the individual and/or his or her family, etc.

To find the person you want, you will see aAt the top left and top rightare graphic displays of the actual Hallock Tree. By clicking on either graphic, the full graphic representations of all Hallock individuals in this Hallock tree are displayed. Upon the loading of the full grapic page, you will see on the left a search box. Here you can type in the first name of the individual you are searching for. All matches are then displayed. By clicking on the any one of the matches found, the computer will create a large red arrow pointing to the point (square box) that you can then click on and it would load up that person's page.

On each of these pages, you will see the names of the person's Father and Mother (when available) immediately above the person's name. Below their name is the person's children's names (when applicable or available). The parents or children's names are clickable links to display their individual page.

As you might guess, this requires considerably more work and time, but we think it's worth it. Keep in mind that by building static web pages for each individual means that the text on each page is available for web crawlers 24x7. This means that ALL the text information we find and is included on this web site is regularly scanned by the big search engines, including Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc. As a result, after a few months (sometimes years) the information found on this web site is searchable on these web sites. In many cases, we have found that individuals searched on Google, who are on our web site, are listed on the FIRST PAGE of Google with a link directly to their page on our web site.

This is a huge advantage in over other geneology sites that keep their data only in a database where the web crawlers have no access.

Many other Hallock clans who may or may not have common lineages from Europe are currently being investigated by the Ybase Organization. This organization has already made clear steps in piecing the puzzle together based on genealogy markers. The above web site will link you to where you can find further details in determining common ancestrial linkage back to over 1000 years.
